Everything worth knowing about Goat’s Milk Soap

What is Goat Milk Soap?

What is goat milk soap? It is soap made with Goat’s Milk instead of water.

We make our soaps using the traditional cold process soap-making way. Converting the oils to soap, known as saponification. Leaving our soaps to cure for at least 4–6 weeks.

Combining oils with a base (Sodium hydroxide). Instead of water to dissolve the base we use our goats’ milk from the farm, giving a creamy soap due to the natural fats in milk. Two other methods to make handmade soap is the hot process and melt-and-pour.

Why use Goat Milk Soap?

Benefits of handcrafted Goat’s Milk Soap

In addition to asking “what is goat milk soap” it’s also worth asking, “why use goat milk soap” and there are countless reasons. Here are just a few of the benefits of handcrafted goat milk soap:

  1. No petroleum products.
Goat milk soap is free of harmful petroleum products that are known to irritate dry and sensitive skin.
  2. No added alcohol.
